Vee originally made this as a proof of concept, with no intention of developing it further. Over time, some contributors helped make the app better.

Regardless of that, it's better to just use mobile mods like [[Vendetta]] or [[Aliucord]].

As Vendroid is based on the mobile web client, some features aren't available.

* Slash commands (only some of the older default ones work, as Discord forces the mobile web client to use legacy chat input)
* Purchases
* Notifications (not supported by Android WebView)

Some features work in a limited manner.

* Forum channels (can't preview posts)
* Role management (can reorganize roles, can't set permissions)
* Saving some server settings, like AutoMod (you have to put your phone in landscape mode)
* Closing audit log (close button is pushed off to the left side of the page, making it impossible to tap)

While Vendroid isn't actively maintained, some people have worked on forks to improve the user experience and fix some of these issues.

==Plugin Release==
EncryptDMs is an Aliucord plugin made by [[User:Mantikafasi]] on 26 November 2021.

The plugin's primary goal was to make Discord DMs end-to-end encrypted, being sure that neither Discord nor anyone without the encryption keys could read the contents of the DMs.

==The Incident==
After [[User:Mantikafasi]] pushed the first changes, even though he didn't release the plugin, some individuals have acquired it through a GitHub repo with PluginDownloader.

For context, those individuals had zero idea what they were doing.

Because the plugin was not finished, it was automatically doing the exchange process as soon as some other person sent their public key, so whenever somebody shared their public key on a discord server all other people who had the plugin would automatically respond with their public key.

==Results==
After several incidents "<ewd:publickey" word got banned from Aliucord server, and [[User:Mantikafasi]] pushed a update which removed entire functionality of the plugin.

With ReviewDB, you can review Discord users, servers and bots. By default, anyone can review you. You can opt-out from ReviewDB via the [https://reviewdb.mantikafasi.dev ReviewDB dashboard]. You can report reviews on any profile, by pressing the flag icon next to each review. This will send it to the administrators, who may then delete it and ban the user for anywhere between 1 day and 1 month.

On Vencord, you can also delete reviews from your own profile, and block users from reviewing you, directly on your user reviews page.

== Reception ==
ReviewDB has mostly been well received. However, there are occasional complaints about harrasment. In response, the ability to opt out from being reviewed has been added.

On Oct 8th, 2023, ReviewDB was removed from Vencord<ref>[https://github.com/Vendicated/Vencord/commit/390987e4a9d58c4c0eb9d4f6b4101ecf1203ccba commit <code>390987e</code>]</ref> due to a disagreement over its moderation between [[Vendicated]] and [[User:Mantikafasi]]. More specifically, Vendicated wanted users to be able to delete reviews from their own profile to more effectively counter abuse and harassment.

This led to mantikafasi creating his own Vencord fork VencordPlus<ref>[https://github.com/StupidityDB/VencordPlus VencordPlus repository]</ref> with ReviewDB included. However, this fork saw very low adoption.

On Jan 14, 2024, they came to an agreement and mantikafasi added the ability to delete reviews from one's own profile and to block up to 50 users. Thus, ReviewDB was readded to Vencord.<ref>[https://github.com/Vendicated/Vencord/commit/8bd54173dbb1af446e1d710dd65dd3d67f68fc0e commit <code>8bd541</code>]</ref>

* From March 9, 2024 to March 11, 2024 the ReviewDB website was blacklisted by Avast.
* On March 8, 2024, the server that was hosting the ReviewDB dashboard was deleted by its provider Oracle which caused a two day outage of it. The dashboard was subsequently moved to [https://pages.cloudflare.com/ Cloudflare Pages].
