Swiftcord is a native MacOS and iOS based third party Discord client built in SwiftUI, the backend was developed using discordkit[1]. It was developed by blahaj.gg.
Swiftcord v1 was originally open source under the main branch (v1)[2] then eventually revamped.
Swiftcord v2 Release
Swiftcord v2 was prompted using Claude by blahaj.gg, and iamnumber4
On 9/20/26, iamnumber4 made an announcement stating that Swiftcord was out of Beta and finally released to the public. The announcement stated it was released with many features, including "Major performance," which was later debunked.
They had a "pricing" tab... They wanted $90 (USD) for access to the client mod, which many, MANY people broke out over and believed was ridiculous.

After the huge outburst of people agreeing that $90 (USD) was insane, blahaj.gg decided to close down the server, quoting, "We'll be locking down this server for the night because both blahaj.gg and iamnumber4 will be going to sleep and can't moderate the server if anything happens." They ended up keeping their forum channels open (this will shortly change).
Shortly after they locked the channels, people figured out you could open Threads[4], so people decided to talk in there. Then Threads were closed, but blahaj.gg forgot to remove the person's permission to create Threads. People started spamming threads like "What's your favorite color?" and "Mr. White, we got to cook," referring to Walter White[5].
Right after, people started joining VCs and screensharing the words in some sort of note taking app, "They will never silence us lmfaoo.", Five minutes later, the voice channel got locked and everyone was forcefully kicked from it.
On X (formerly Twitter), a screenshot was taken of the developers admitting to using Claude and spending more on Claude than the revenue pulled in from Swiftcord itself.
All of this happened within an hour of the announcement, and within 10-20 minutes all of the drama had ended.
A day after, as of 9/21/26, the website changed and added a banner stating "Downloads are temporarily paused while we undergo structural changes.". It was shortly alleged that Swiftcord was cracked from two X posts [6], [7].
We have the right to believe due to them closing the downloads, and the statement "Downloads are temporarily paused while we undergo structural changes." that the crack was real. Even the original download link is gone.
