Selfbotting refers to automating actions on a user account or connecting to it via means other than the official apps (for example from a script).

Just like client modding, selfbotting is against Discord's terms of service[1]. However, while the former is essentially riskfree, selfbotting may potentially pose a risk to your account and lead to a suspension. Thus, it is very frowned upon in the client modding community.
