BetterDiscord
BetterDiscord (formerly BetterDiscordApp and BandagedBD) is one of the first client mods and the oldest one that is still alive today.

History
BetterDiscord was created by Jiiks in August 2015.
Jiiks started a rewrite under the v2 branch on November 6, 2016, which became dormant on May 17. 2017. On January 10, 2018, another rewrite was started as a fork under the JsSucks organization[1], referred to as BetterDiscordv2.
In October 2018, Zerebos forked the original repository to keep it maintained while BetterDiscordv2 was in development, rebranding it as BandagedBD on February 5, 2018[2].
BetterDiscordv2 goes dormant on March 16, 2019[3].
BandagedBD would begin a rewrite on March 20, 2020[4], which has become the current code base since. BandagedBD would acquire the BetterDiscord name on July 26, 2020[5].
The original BetterDiscordApp repository was finally archived on August 2, 2022.
On December 4th 2025, Zerebos released a blog on his website stated, "Passing the Torch: The Future of BetterDiscord". This was Zerebos stating he is passing down his legacy to User:Kaan and doggybootsy, with doggybootsy becoming the Lead Developer and User:Kaan becoming the second developer.
